today i have to announce sad news about martin dawson who died to young. he was a great musician , dj and producer. house music forever!
U.K. house music DJ Martin Dawson died on Monday, Nov. 12, reports Resident Advisor. He had been in the hospital since Nov. 1 after he was found unconscious in his studio following a brain aneurysm.
The Berlin-based musician was a renowned solo artist both under his own name and the moniker King Roc, releasing two albums, 2005’s How Big Is It and 2009’s Chapters.He was also a member of the duo Two Armadillos with Giles Smith, with their debut full-length Golden Age Thinking getting released earlier this year.
Although doctors made every effort to save the English DJ, he passed earlier this week. Dawson is extensively mourned by his fellow house musicians and fans via Facebook and Twitter. He is survived by his family and girlfriend. (spinner)

Martin will be the first to say he loves working in the studio but his passion for DJ and performing can not be questioned with an international career that has seen him playing all around the world from West and Eastern Europe to South American, Australia and most of Asia, right to the deepest parts of Russia. Support for his production in whatever alter ego also has his music being aired around the globe by some of best DJ’s in the world including Laurent Garnier, Tiefschwarz, Radioslave, D’Julz, Solomon, Nick Curly and Luciano to name a few.
The first part of 2010 has included some very successful releases including ‘What The Fuck’ on Get Physical and his debut LP ‘Sunday Smoking’ on Moodmusic plus collaborations with Andre Crom, Catz n Dogz, Glimpse and of course Two Armadillos with Giles Smith of which their latest record ‘People of the World’ on secretsundaze music made it to the top 5 of Groove Magazine in Germany. And just to keep things interesting Martin is currently working on the second King Roc album as well as a new concept album with Voitek and Greg from Catz n Dogz.
